With an enduring passion for the Sierra Nevadas, James has, for decades, considered these rugged mountains his home away from home, sharing his adventures with friends, fellow enthusiasts, family, and, for the past decade, his cherished canine companion, Maya. During moments away from the trail, James finds fulfillment in coaching little league and dedicating time to his wife and children.
In addition to his extensive personal explorations, James brings a wealth of military experience to his role as a guide, having served in the Marine Corps. His tenure involved teaching land navigation as well as participating in mountain training in the Eastern Sierra Nevadas where he honed essential skills. James, known for his enthusiasm for mentoring, takes great pleasure in assisting individuals in overcoming new challenges and achieving their goals.
