Sierra Summit Expeditions Backpacking Trip Reservation Terms and Conditions

Reservation Process:

1.1 By reserving a backpacking spot with Sierra Summit Expeditions, you agree to abide by the terms and conditions outlined herein.

1.2 A reservation is made by submitting a payment of $100 (One Hundred United States Dollars) to secure your position on the trip.

1.3 Reservation payments are non-refundable unless stated otherwise in the cancellation policy.

Payment Terms:

2.1 The full amount for the backpacking trip must be paid in full no later than two weeks prior to the trip's scheduled departure date.

2.2 Failure to complete the full payment by the specified deadline may result in the cancellation of your reservation without refund.

Cancellation Policy:

3.1 Cancellations made more than two weeks before the trip departure date are eligible for a refund, excluding the initial $200 reservation fee.

3.2 Cancellations made within two weeks of the trip departure date are non-refundable.

3.3 Sierra Summit Expeditions reserves the right to cancel a trip due to unforeseen circumstances or events beyond its control. In such cases, participants will be offered alternative trip dates or a full refund.

Participant Responsibilities:

4.1 Participants are responsible for ensuring they meet the physical and skill requirements specified for the backpacking trip.

4.2 Participants must provide accurate personal information and disclose any relevant medical conditions or dietary restrictions that may affect their participation.

4.3 Participants are responsible for obtaining appropriate travel insurance to cover any unforeseen circumstances or emergencies during the trip.

Trip Modifications:

5.1 Sierra Summit Expeditions reserves the right to modify the itinerary, trip dates, or activities due to factors such as weather conditions, safety concerns, or logistical reasons.

5.2 Participants will be notified of any significant changes to the trip as soon as possible.

Liability Waiver:

6.1 Participants understand that outdoor activities such as backpacking involve inherent risks and hazards, including but not limited to, those associated with wilderness travel, weather conditions, and wildlife encounters.

6.2 By participating in the backpacking trip, participants acknowledge and accept these risks, and agree to release Sierra Summit Expeditions and its staff from any liability for personal injury, loss, or damage incurred during the trip.

Jurisdiction:

7.1 These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of the state or country where Sierra Summit Expeditions operates.

7.2 Any disputes arising from or related to these terms and conditions shall be resolved through arbitration or mediation, as agreed upon by both parties.
